Richarlison finished both his opening two seasons with Everton, following a July 2018 transfer from Watford, as the Club's joint-top scorer – in the Premier League and across all competitions.

In a personally excellent 2019/20 – which Richarlison began flushed with confidence following his involvement in Brazil's home Copa America success during the off season – he scored 13 league goals from 36 appearances and added two more in the Carabao Cup.

Those tallies mirrored the returns of fellow striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin and earned him the Club's Player of the Season prize.

Equally, Richarlison's 13 top-flight strikes equalled his total from the previous 2018/19 season.

The player's 15 goals in all competitions, however, surpassed the 14 he netted across all games in his debut Everton campaign.

Richarlison started 33 Premier League matches and 39 in total in his third Goodison Park season in 2020/21, both totals joint-highest at the Club with defender Michael Keane.

The South American netted 13 goals – seven in the league and three in each of the domestic cup competitions – to finish runner-up to Calvert-Lewin (21) in Everton's scoring chart.

Richarlison achieved top-scoring honours in 2021/22, however. Of his 10 Premier League goals, six came in nine matches towards the end of the season, as pressure intensified on Everton at the foot of the table.

He showed incredible appetite for the fight and there was an evident desire to take responsibility for his team's destiny in a series of critical fixtures.

Richarlison scored the only goal of the game against Chelsea, when Everton breathed fresh life into their survival hopes with a highly-charged Goodison victory on 1 May.

A stoppage-time effort in a home meeting with Leicester City to earn one point and one goal and one assist in a madcap game against Brentford sandwiched the Chelsea strike.

But Richarlison, arguably, saved his best for last, a relentless indiviudal display nine days after his 25th birthday, when he played like a man possessed and scored the goal that drew Everton level in the frantic comeback win over Crystal Palace to preserve Everton's Premier League status.

Among all that, Richarlison made his 150th Everton appearance in the late-season visit to former club Watford.

He was on target in Frank Lampard's first game as boss, scoring the second goal in an FA Cup fourth-round victory over Brentford on 5 February 2022, steadily banishing memories of a fractured first half of the campaign when Richarlison suffered knee and calf problems after an extraordinarily busy off season.

Richarlison was in the Brazil team that reached the 2021 Copa America final, defeated 1-0 by Argentina in his homeland, before jetting to Tokyo to win a gold medal in the Olympic football tournament.

When he joined Everton, Richarlison reunited with then manager Marco Silva, who brought the attacker to England 12 months previously when Hornets boss.

Two goals on his debut at Wolverhampton Wanderers set the tone for a fabulous first campaign which finished with Richarlison named the Club's Young Player of the Season.

His first senior Brazil call-up arrived five weeks after coming to Everton. The explosive forward netted twice on his full debut for the five-times world champions as they beat El Salvador 5-0 in Washington DC and has remained a regular in boss Tite's squads.

Richarlison launched his professional career with America Mineiro as an 18-year-old in 2015 and hit the ground running.

The player scored 10 minutes after coming off the bench on his first appearance for the Belo Horizonte side and, operating primarily as a central striker, hit another eight goals to help his team win promotion into Brazil’s top-flight.

He was signed by four-times national champions Fluminense in December 2015 and on his league debut away to former team America Mineiro created the only goal of the game for former Brazil striker Fred.

Richarlison’s speed, skill and physicality ensured he quickly became one of Fluminese’s most influential figures and led manager Abel Braga to describe him as “a complete player”.

He was capped 10 times by his country’s Under-20 team and scored on his international debut against England at St George’s Park in September 2016. The player was one of the stars of the following year’s South American Under-20 Championship, finding the net twice in the tournament in Ecuador to further swell his burgeoning reputation.

Richarlison was raised in the Brazilian municipality of Nova Venecia and left his homeland for Watford after scoring 19 goals in 67 matches for Fluminense.

The attacker swiftly acclimatised to Premier League football, scoring on his full debut for the Hornets in a 2-0 victory at Bournemouth and winning rave reviews for a sequence of assertive and vibrant performances.
