Thursday's edition of the Liverpool ECHO speculates on Sean Dyche's team selection for Everton's next pre-season outing.

The Blues are set to travel to Stoke City on Saturday afternoon and the local read is expecting a handful of senior stars to return, including a debut for a new signing.

Connor O'Neill of the Echo wrote: "A number of players from the club’s first-team setup were given the night off [on Tuesday night against Bolton], with new signing Arnaut Danjuma also not involved against Ian Evatt’s side. However, that could change this weekend.

"Jarrad Branthwaite and James Garner could also both make their first appearances this pre-season. The pair were given extra time off after helping England under-21s secure their first European Championship in 39 years earlier this summer.

"A number of the club's youngsters, who have featured heavily so far this summer, are expected to be included in the matchday squad, but again, it remains to be seen as to whether their playing time will now start to be cut as preparations for Fulham next month ramp up."

In transfer news, The i reports that Everton have no interest in listening to any offers for striker Dominic Calvert-Lewin.

The England international has been linked with a move to AS Roma with the Italian side believed to be keen to sign the forward on loan with an obligation to buy.

However, the newspaper reports the Club will not loan out one of their key strikers, and that Calvert-Lewin remains "very much part of the Club's plans".
