Local solicitors Jackson Lees will be attending the Goodison Sleepout for a third straight year while the Liverpool Rapid Relief Team will be providing meals to all those in attendance on the night.

The Sleepout – which takes place on Friday, November 16 – gives participants the chance to grab their sleeping bags and spend the night in one of the world’s most famous stadiums, while raising money for Everton in the Community. All money raised from this year’s Sleepout will go towards the running costs and sustainability of the charity’s recently-opened ‘Home Is Where The Heart Is’ property, supporting young people at risk of homelessness.

Liverpool firm Jackson Lees have been ever present in their support of the event and have grown their Sleepout team from three in 2016 to 24 this year. Last year, the team of 17 sleepers included Brian Cullen, Chief Executive Officer, Joanna Kingston-Davies, Chief Operating Officer, and board member Chris Topping, who all spent the whole night out in the Park End Stand.

They will join Everton Under-23s boss David Unsworth and his entire squad for the Sleepout.

Brian Cullen, CEO at Jackson Lees, said: “I’m proud of our team for taking part and for the generous support we have received. For one night we had a small glimpse into the reality of being homeless – it makes you realise just how fortunate you are to have security and somewhere to call home. EitC are doing some fantastic work and we know that the efforts of everyone will make a positive difference.”

Liverpool Rapid Relief Team will also be supporting this year’s Goodison Sleepout by providing hearty breakfasts for all sleepers on the night.

RRT offers quality catering assistance to charitable and government organisations confronting some of humankind’s greatest challenges, including natural disasters, heart disease, cancer research and the plight of the homeless.

Last year more than 200 fans braved the elements of a cold November night to experience the challenges that homeless people face daily on the streets of Liverpool, raising an incredible total of £40,000.Participants are asked to raise a minimum of £150, including a £10 registration fee.
